Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture has been awarded the 2009 International Architecture Award for Matrix Gateway Complex

The International Architectural Awards are one of the highest and most prestigious distinguished building awards that honor new and cutting-edge design. This annual program, organized by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design, promotes international architecture and design to public audiences around the world. This year, the Museum received over 1,000 projects for new buildings, landscape architecture, and urban planning from the most important firms practicing globally.

The 2009 Jury for Awards was held in Helsinki, Finland under the auspices of the Finnish Society of Architects (SAFA) and the awarded projects for 2009 were selected by a distinguished group of Finnish architects and educators and critics.
