Matt Dumich on…

Many of the world’s problems are design problems that we, as architects, have the creative skills to address.  Architects are strategic thinkers and complex problem solvers.  Design is our differentiator for innovation and success.

…where he finds inspiration
I am a cultural sponge inspired by authentic and diverse experiences.

…his favorite "moment" in architecture
The Italian Renaissance, where the architect was a respected master builder, working at the intersection of art and craft, responsible for the design and construction of the built environment.

…his favorite city architecturally
Paris for its rich layers of history and great urban spaces.

…his favorite thing about a collaborative design process
I enjoy working with multidisciplinary teams of experts where many voices contribute to seeking elegant solutions.

…what he'd be if he weren't an architect
A sociologist – I am a people person fascinated by social behavior and human interaction.

…what he does when he's not designing
Probably eating, I am foodie and craft beer snob.
