Alyson Reuter

Senior Architect Alyson Reuter AIA, has 15 years of experience working on large-scale, complex architectural projects including residential and commercial buildings, educational facilities, and theaters.

With her background in both engineering and architecture, Alyson has proven to be a valuable part of the team on several AS+GG projects, acting as a liaison between consultant engineers.

Recently she was the Team Leader for the podium and retail teams for Burj 2020, a mixed-use development featuring a signature supertall tower, a commercial building, and six mixed-use residential and hotel towers.

Prior to working at AS+GG, Alyson has lived in New York, Florida, San Antonio, and Boston before settling in Chicago. As a natural problem solver, she considers each project as a unique puzzle and takes great joy in the daily experience of translating the design architect’s vision into reality.

Senior Architect and Team Leader for the Astana Energy Hall, now under construction. The 6,500 sm, 1,000 seat multi-functional Proscenium Theater will be the main performance space for the world’s next international exhibition. Goldenland Towers
287,000 sm mixed-use project has an office and hotel tower and a service apartment tower connected by a 5-story podium with retail and parking. Suzhou, China

Hilal Tower
LEED documentation 138 m mixed-use tower includes four levels below grade for retail, parking and support areas. The tower features residential, office and retail at ground and higher levels. Sustainable elements include district cooling, solar hot water, energy-efficient lighting and equipment, a greywater system and highly efficient MEP systems. Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Ahlamana
LEED documentation for mixed-use 74.5 m and 105 m residential and office towers consisting of 5,612 sm of area. The program includes four to five below-grade levels for partial storage, parking and support areas.  Sustainable elements include district cooling, solar hot water, energy-efficient lighting and equipment, a greywater system and highly efficient MEP systems. Construction of a new 125,000 sf elementary school. Extensive value engineering was required. Numerous different material types on the exterior facades required a significant number of details to ensure that all conditions were worked out. Andover, Massachusetts

St. Stephens Armenian Elementary School
Addition and renovation of existing, fully operational private elementary school.  Pro-Bono project with minimal staff and an extremely tight schedule. Watertown, Massachusetts

North Middlesex Regional High School
Feasibility study for a new 185,000 sf high school. The new school as designed will provide a cost effective, right-sized school that meets the needs of the district and all three communities. The school has been designed for ease of expansion should population trends change. Townsend, Massachusetts
