Roseland Community Medical District Master Plan

The Roseland Community Medical District Master Plan sets forth the vision, physical framework, development strategy, and design guidelines for the planning, design, construction, and operation of a new mixed-use campus that is focused on high-quality patient care, outpatient services, and related community investments.

The program also includes retail, food and beverage amenities, and community fitness and nutrition centers. A 95-acre parcel for new and renovated housing is envisioned to be developed in partnership with private, nonprofit, and public partners to focus on medical district workforce accommodations for a diverse population.

Additional uses will be programmed to meet the needs of people at various stages of life and abilities and may include some level of medical-related supportive housing. A stakeholder workshop was held in December 2021 to prioritize community needs which include investing in current residents, delivering the red line extension, restoring Michigan Avenue, and connecting local rivers, lakes, and parks.
