Katrina Fernandez Nova is a Project Management Director and licensed Architect at AS+GG, bringing over twelve years of experience in managing and contributing to a wide range of complex, high-profile projects across various typologies and scales around the world.
Known for her meticulous attention to detail and strong collaborative approach, Katrina has grown into a key Project Manager at AS+GG, where she leads an average of eight projects concurrently, overseeing resources, schedules, proposal development, and client communications. While her primary focus is in North and South America, her global project experience extends to the Middle East and Europe. Additionally, Katrina has served as BIM Manager for several projects, overseeing the creation and implementation of BIM execution plans.
Katrina also contributes to the sustainability initiatives at AS+GG as the Project Manager for many projects with AS+GG's CarbonLab, the firm’s dedicated sustainability group. In this role, she advises and manages their services focused on environmental analysis, LEED consultancy, and Carbon and ESG reporting. Her expertise in sustainability extends to contributing to internal research efforts and advancing the firm’s environmental goals.
Throughout her career, Katrina has led the Project Management efforts for a variety of significant projects, including 240 Adelaide, 175 Wynford, Yonge & Isabella, and 648 Yonge in Toronto, Canada; the Midtown Connection Park Pavilion in Atlanta; and residential towers in Edgewater, Miami, among others.
Earlier in her career as a Senior Architect, Katrina was deeply involved in project planning, core development, programming, technical design, and consultant coordination throughout all design phases. She made significant contributions to high-profile projects such as 160 Front St, Tribute Tower East, the Uptown District in Dubai, and the Astana Expo 2017, among numerous others.
Katrina holds a Master's in Environmental Building Design from the University of Pennsylvania, where she focused on environmental building design and performance modeling and analysis. She also holds a Bachelor's in Architecture from the Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
Beyond her professional work, Katrina is an active volunteer in the architectural and urban development communities. She serves as Co-Chair of the Future Leaders Committee at the Council of Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) and as a mentor for Arquitina. She has also contributed her time to the ACE Mentor Program of Chicago as Mentor Team Leader and Associate Board Member.
