Samsung Togok Tower

Samsung Togok Tower

A state-of-the-art, ecologically sensitive tower that uses Earth’s natural forces to minimize waste and maximize efficiency, the 111-story Samsung Togok Tower in Seoul, South Korea, was designed to improve the quality of life for both occupants and observers.

The technological innovation of the project focuses on harnessing natural forces, efficiency of systems and the utilization of height to generate energy. An accessible double-wall system was created to house the latest photovoltaic systems. The building also uses wind-driven turbines to capture air movements through the building’s sky atria and the double-wall cavity.

The Samsung Tower is a multi-use building, containing office space, residential housing, a hotel and conference center, a cultural center, a microelectronics showroom and an entertainment, sports, and retail facility.
